2009 Winston Cup Recipient
In
early 2001, at the age 12, Winston (ADCh),
teammate of Marsha McIntosh, retired after
11 years of competing in USDAA agility. Winston
and Marsha were among the early participants
in the sport. They were founders and an important
part of the lifeblood of Good Dog Agility. The
Club is honoring their contributions, and recognizing
their guiding characteristics of enthusiasm,
dedication, and the agility spirit by creating
an annual award for a deserving dog in the form
of the Winston Cup.
The
Winston Cup is awarded each year at Good
Dog’s January show.
The award is given to a dog that has:
- exhibited
longevity in the sport,
- achieved
competitive recognition,
- demonstrated
continuing competence in agility,
- and,
most importantly, contributed to the community
OR to the sport of agility through activities
outside the ring.
