"My Dog Can Do That!" at MLF DogSports What a fun time we had on January 3rd for the first match of "My Dog Can Do That!" at MLF. Congratulations to the first handlers and dogs to earn the "WOW!" level one title by demonstrating their training. They earned passing scores on an AKC Beginner Novice course, AKC Rally Novice course, and by showing their basic skills on all of the agility obstacles, 2 x 2s, speed circle, and jumping skills. Super job to the first handler, Stacie and her dog Rex (pictured with rosette and buttons) to win the level one title: "WOW!" Congratulations also to Monica and Giz, Arlana and Riki, Lois and Paige, Cindy and Kix for also earning the WOW! title. Thank you to all the students who participated, trained, and practiced. Keep working for the next opportunity! Also, congratulations to our four new CGCs: Kellie with Pixie and Bear, Jean and Bella, and Cris with Chili! |

LUCKY
AHBA Herding Trial Champion
HTCH
Congratulations to Anita and Lucky
Completing all requirements for the
Herding Trial Championship on
September 16, 2012
in Dewey, Arizona
To obtain the Herding Trial Championship title the dog
must first complete the Level III requirements and then
go on to earn 10 championship points at Level III. A
championship point is obtained when the dog obtains a
score at or above 80 points out of 100.
The dog must have skill in the areas of gathering livestock,
driving the stock away from the handler through various
obstacles, holding stock and sorting stock. With unpredictable sheep
and ducks and
commands requiring precise timing, the accomplishment
requires skill,
patience and much training.
CONGRATULATIONS LUCKY AND ANITA, A GREAT TEAM!
